Zeus

In all of human existence, gods have come and gone

road their chariots and cast their lightening bolts

wielding power that could only be described

as a majesty that dictates from the sky

He’s the big guy

He’s the thunder that rolls the sky

In all of human existence, we’ve sought to personify

the wonders of nature that science could not describe

Of course, it makes sense.  We anthropomorphize,

and establish a pantheon that dictates from the sky.

He’s the big guy

He’s the thunder that rolls the sky

He’s the giver of rain

that feeds the earth and brings us grain

My love, we’ll never know

But we’ll pretend to know

He’s the big guy

He’s the thunder that rolls the sky

He’s the giver of rain

that feeds the earth and brings us grain

My love, we’ll never know

but we’ll pretend to know
